YSI will be hosting parallel events and live streaming parties during the Finance & Society conference across the world and in Washington D.C.
The Institute’s annual plenary conference, titled “Liberté, Égalité, Fragilité” will take place from April 8-11 at the OECD in Paris. Young scholars are invited to take part in a parallel program specifically designed by the YSI community that also includes access to all conference sessions.
The workshop will consist of mini-courses that cover topics and methods overlooked in the conventional economics curriculum. It will also feature student presentation sessions, giving young scholars the opportunity to present and discuss their research in a collaborative environment.

The global financial system has evolved into a vastly complex architecture over the past decades. Our understanding of its inner workings are limited, and often incoherent, and the policy responses inadequate.
The Institute for New Economic Thinking’s Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) will host a PhD student workshop in Antalya, Turkey, on October 16-17, 2014.
