Ingrid Harvold Kvangraven

Ingrid Harvold Kvangraven is a PhD student in Economics at The New School for Social Research. She’s also the coordinator of INET’s Young Scholars Initiative’s Economic Development working group, founder and editor of the blog Developing Economics and advisory board member of Rethinking Economics – Norway. Broadly speaking, her research focuses on history of economic thought, macroeconomics, global trade and finance, and the political economy of development.

Her PhD dissertation focuses on structural features of late development, with a particular emphasis on the link between export competitiveness, trade and finance. Her work has been published in Development and Change and Review of Development Economics. She holds BA and MA degrees in Development Studies from the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics (LSE), respectively.
